The third whisky of the night is the newly released single cask bottling of White Chocolate Torte. Aged 24 years and hailing from 1988 this Tormore is bottled at the slightly higher percentage of 46%. It is also limited to 251 bottles so a real rarity to try as part of this tasting. It was a real favourite with a lot of people on the night!
So this 3rd whisky was distilled in 1998, and bottled in 2012 at 46%, which is a much better ABV. 🙂 Golden straw in colour. #WemyssTT
The final whisky is the one that I have personally been looking for. I’ve been to Islay and I’ve had barbecues on the beach while drinking Laphroaig. This one brings back memories – its a 14 year old Laphroaig called Beach Bonfires, again bottled at 46% and limited to 357 bottles. I can’t wait to taste:
Beach Bonfires This is my whisky. Memories of the beach at Port Ellen, of sunshine on Islay and of fine beachside whisky. #Magical #WemyssTT
